2026 - 2027

Whitby Ringette Association is excited to announce Team Tryouts for the 2026 - 2027 season. Tryouts will be held for the following female only teams:

U16A, U19A

All players wishing to attend WRA tryouts and warm-up skates are required to register in advance through WRA's RAMP Registration System.  

• Registration will close 48 hours prior to the 1st tryout date for each age/level.

• To be eligible to participate, all tryout attendees must have previously registered with their Home association for the 2025/26 Season (i.e. insured for tryouts). If not, please contact the WRA president.

• To be eligible to participate, all tryout attendees must have previously completed the Ringette Ontario Athlete Intent to Play Form. 

• All registrants will be invited to attend the first 2 tryouts; For U16A registrants, the 3rd and 4th tryouts will be by invitation only. For U19A registrants, the 3rd tryout will be by invitation only. 

All warm up and tryouts will take place at Iroquois Park with one exception: Tryout #4 for U16A will take place at ACC in Ajax.

Registration

All players wishing to participate in WRA warm-up skates and/or tryouts must purchase one of the following "Tryout Passports". 

Prepayment is required.  See payment process below.

All athletes that will be playing goalie only for 2026/2027 will participate in warm-ups and tryouts free of charge. 

Payment Process

• Payment is required 48 hours prior to the 1st event where you intend to participate (i.e. 1st warm-up skate / 1st tryout) 

• Please send payment via e-transfer to treasurer@whitbyringette.com or pay by credit card (an admin fee will be applied)

• When sending your e-transfer, indicate your player’s name, year of birth, and the age/level of the tryout they are attending. 

• Payment will not be collected at arenas. Players who have not purchased a Passport will NOT be permitted to step on the ice.

Player Movement 

Players must follow the right of refusal pathway (home, current, choice). 

A skater may attend AA tryouts with up to two (2) Clubs. A goaltender may attend tryouts with up to three (3) Clubs. If a player’s Home Club hosts an AA team, the player must attend their Home Club tryouts as their primary choice. Players must attend their Current Club as their secondary choice. 

Players may attend tryouts at up to three (3) clubs for A level. If a player’s Home Club hosts an A team, the player must attend their Home Club tryouts as their primary choice. The player must attend their Current Club as their secondary choice. The player may choose any other A club as their third tryout club. If neither the Home nor Current Clubs are hosting an A team, the player may choose to attend tryouts at a maximum of three (3) other A Clubs.
