Tryouts 2025-2026
Tryout Registration Information
It is the intention of Whitby Ringette to host U14A, U16A and U16AA teams for the 2025-2026 season. WRA reserves the right to change team offerings up to and including the beginning of the season.
In order to participate, all players must be registered with Ringette Ontario for insurance coverage. Any players from outside ringette, please email president@whitbyringette.com.
U14AA and U19AA teams are being hosted in Oshawa. Please visit OSRA for warm up skates and tryout registration information.
For information about A teams in other associations, please visit Ajax-Pickering, Oshawa or Sunderland's websites.

How to Register
1. Please read Equal Opportunity for Access: Part of Ringette Ontario's team formation guideline refers to the gender make-up of a team. Please read Equal Access for Participation for information and some FAQs. You will be asked to confirm you have read the material and your willingness to play on female-only, mixed, or male-only teams during the tryout registration process.
2. Please read Whitby Ringette's Policies http://www.whitbyringette.com/content/WRA-Policies, including the underage-player policy. No underage player will be allowed to step on the ice for tryouts without completing this process. Please note that overage players cannot be rostered on A or AA teams.
3. Please register by selecting the appropriate tryout package in RAMP: http://WhitbyRingette.rampregistrations.com
4. The WRA tryout passport varies in price. See below for details. Please send payment to treasurer@whitbyringette.com if paying by e-transfer, or pay by credit card in RAMP. If e-transferring, include your player's name(s) and tryouts in the note. Any player who has not paid will not be allowed to participate in warm up skates or tryouts. Make sure you send funds for the proper passport. No refunds will be provided unless WRA cancels tryouts.
5. You must have completed the Intent to Tryout form in order to attend tryouts. If you have any concerns about this, email president@whitbyringette.com.

Releases
No player needs a release to try out for any team. A release is required in order to accept a spot on a team outside of one's home association. Please see the table below for additional information. **Ringette Ontario continues to refine the distance matrix. If there are changes to this information, the table will be updated.**

Tryouts can be a stressful time for players, coaches, and volunteers. Please be kind and respectful when communicating either in person or via email. Because associations have tryouts at different times, there may be some waiting required for releases. No player will be released outside the association for a team WRA offers unless that player has also attended WRA tryouts.
