Fees and Program Description
Ringette Ontario will be NOT collecting their portion of player fees directly upon registration this season. These fees are again being incorporated into your Whitby Ringette registration fees.
When registering in RAMP you will be asked to indicate payment type. Payment for Whitby Ringette can be done through e-transfer to treasurer@whitbyringette.com or we are accepting credit card payments. When e-transferring, please indicate the player's name and level of play. If paying by credit card, a 2.5% service fee will apply.
Temporary Releases
Players must register with the association they are playing in this season. Whitby home association players who have accepted a place on an out of association team will register with that association and complete the Player Release Form. Forward the form to president@whitbyringette.com. Out of Association players on a Whitby team will register with Whitby Ringette. We will work with your home association to complete the temporary transfer.

Respect in Sport
Respect in Sport for Parents is now mandatory. This brings ringette in line with most other sports association. You will be prompted to enter the certification number when registering. The Respect in Sport program is a one-time session that is transferrable between sports. If you have ever completed the certification for hockey, soccer, volleyball etc. for any of your children, you can look up the certificate number and use it for ringette registration. You will be required to enter this information before your player participates in ringette in Whitby.
To look up your certificate number or register to complete: https://ringette-canada-parent.respectgroupinc.com/koala_final/
There is a $12 fee to complete a new certification.
**Team Formation
FUN 1/2/3: Groups will be formed based on an evaluation skate to be held in mid September. The program is designed to be fluid and allow players to move between groups as their development suits. While the FUN 1/2/3 programs are primarily designed for players born from 2020 to 2013, older players who are new to skating or the sport of ringette may be placed here for development.
FUN 3 League Play: Players interested in playing league games will be evaluated to determine that they have achieved the skills required to participate in FUN 3, as outlined in https://ringetteontario.com/childrens-ringette/. Additional fees will apply as outlined above.
Moving participants between FUN2 and FUN3: A participant should be able to demonstrate that they have acquired the majority of the skills included in the FUN2 assessment. Participants should have a ‘Yes’ for every skill in the Success Criteria column and a ‘Yes’ for at least 6 out of the 8 skills in the Technical Criteria column. If a participant gets this score or higher, then they may be ready to move on to FUN3. Again, be sure to consider all aspects of the participant’s readiness beyond technical skills when discussing whether to move up.
U12: Teams will be formed based on registration numbers and sort skates to be held before the beginning of the season. It is anticipated that there will be both a U12B and U12A team.
