Winter 2021 Registration

The WRA will continue to implement the best program possible given the COVID protocols put in place by the Town of Whitby and the Region of Durham. This may not be what we are used to, but on the bright side we are still on the ice, and our athletes are still having fun. With the recent move to the RED Zone for Durham Region we will need to continue with the current program as we are ending the Fall 2020 Season. See details below,

Discounts
1. New Player Discount ($50) for any new player this year that has never registered with any other ringette association in the past.
2. Goalie Discount (50%) for any registrant that plays goal for >=50% of the season in U12 and above. To be discussed with Group Leader prior to approval.

Team Grouping
The plan is to continue with the current groupings, but will adjust if needed based on registration numbers.

Power Skating & Skills
Additional Development Sessions will be offered at an additional cost. Details will be released later.

Refund Policy

WRA will refund $25 per week if lifting the shutdown is delayed or reinstated, to a minimum of $50. This is only for a full shutdown by the Town of Whitby, not a reduction in individuals on the ice, or by request. See table below,

Refunds will be issued at the end of the session. Anyone who has already paid the original registration fee of $275 will be refunded the difference of $50. We'd like to refund this at the end of the session to reduce the number of cheques to be written, but if you require the refund earlier please contact treasurer@whitbyringette.com.

Next Steps
1. In order to secure your spot for the Winter 2021 Season please send an e-Transfer $225 to treasurer@whitbyringette.com. Check your email for password details. Or contact president@whitbyringette.com to make other arrangements.

2. For new players who would like to register, please contact president@whitbyringette.com for details. There will be an additional $50 charge for new members to the 2020/2021 season, that have played ringette in previous seasons.

3. For players with concerns about continuing on in the Winter 2021 season, please email president@whitbyringette.com.
